Edge-painting
Duplexing
- Files: Please send your files as .ai or .pdf and outline your text. All should be set to 100%K and you can use separate artboards or labeled layers for additional colors. Minimum stroke thickness is .35pt.
- Turnaround: generally a week after your design is received but as we book up in advance, best to reserve a spot on the calendar asap to make that turnaround. You can view the availability here. Our printing plate maker is in NH and sometimes the weather gets in the way of speedy shipping. Usually plates are received 3 days after ordering.
- Printing plates start at $35 and foil dies have recently (as of 3.2026) gone up 15%+ due to tariffs on the copper used, figure they start at $85 now. Plates and dies remain in our files for a year, then can be returned to you or tossed/recycled.

- We die cut once a week and you can see the dates on our availability post. It's rarely booked up so just let us know what you need and we'll add you to the list.
- If you send us items to cut, please include some extras for setting up, and if it's variable printed, 2 sets are best for insurance purposes - if one drops and gets mis-cut or dirty, we'll have a spare ready to go.
- Custom shapes take about 2 days to be made; our maker is in north Texas. We need a pdf of the shape. Complex shapes will need to be approved by our maker to confirm his equipment can handle it; some things are too detailed and you'll need to find someone with laser-cutting ability.
- You're welcome/encouraged to use shapes already in the library. I update when I can but there's always a stack waiting so if you don't see what you're looking for, please ask.

- Edge painting is best on cards 200# and thicker.
- We can use pre-made colors or custom mix to match something (additional charge).

- Paper Restrictions: we are limited to a weight of no greater than 184# so if you need thicker, we'll have to duplex or send to a trusted printing partner to assist.
- Turnaround: once designs and paper/envelopes are here, within a week

Digital Printing - White
- Files: Please send your files as .ai or .pdf and outline your text. All should be set to 100%K
- Paper Restrictions: we are limited to a weight of no greater than 105# so if you need thicker, we'll have to print on text-weight and then duplex to cover stock
- Turnaround: once designs and paper/envelopes are here, within a week
- Our toner supplier is in Germany but we always try to keep an extra cartridge or two on hand so we're not delayed; good thing because shipping is taking longer these days! (3/2026)
